Privacy Policy
Effective [Effective date]
1. Who we are
Half Past Six ("we," "us") runs a reporting service for home-services businesses. We connect to software a business already uses, turn its data into a dashboard, and send the owner a short daily summary. Contact: Andrew@HalfPastSixCo.com, South Orange, NJ.
2. Who this policy covers
- Our clients: the businesses that sign up, and the people at those businesses who use our service.
- Our clients' customers: homeowners and others whose names and job details are stored in our clients' software. We don't deal with these people directly. We handle their information only on our client's behalf and under our client's instructions.
- Website visitors.
3. What we collect
- Account information: name, business name, email, phone number, billing details. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we don't store full card numbers.
- Data from connected accounts, only the ones a client chooses to connect, using read-only access:
- Job and scheduling software (Jobber or Housecall Pro): jobs, estimates, invoices, technicians, and customer names, addresses, phone numbers, emails and job notes.
- Call tracking (CallRail): call times, length, source, caller phone number and outcome.
- Google Ads and Google Local Services Ads: spend, clicks, leads, and lead contact details.
- Google Business Profile: reviews, ratings, calls and other profile activity.
- QuickBooks: invoices, payments, revenue and expense totals.
- Website data: basic logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) to keep the site running and secure. We don't use advertising cookies or sell website data.
4. How we use it
Only to run the service the client signed up for:
- Calculate business numbers (revenue, booked jobs, lead sources, cost per lead and similar). Our code does all the math.
- Show those numbers on the client's private dashboard.
- Write and send the owner's daily text or email. An AI model (Anthropic's Claude) writes the wording from the numbers our code has already calculated. We send the AI only those computed numbers and short labels, not customers' names, addresses or phone numbers.
- Provide support, keep the service secure, bill clients, and meet legal requirements.
We do not:
- sell personal information or share it for advertising;
- use client data to train AI models, ours or anyone else's;
- contact our clients' customers;
- let people read a client's data unless the client asks us to (for support, for example) or we need to for security or legal reasons.
5. Google user data
Half Past Six's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We use Google data only to provide the dashboard and daily summary the client sees.
- We transfer it only to deliver those features, for security, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or sale of our business with the client's prior consent.
- We never use or transfer it for advertising, and never sell it.
- No person reads it unless the client agrees, or it is needed for security or legal compliance.
6. Text messages (SMS)
- We text only the business owner or staff member who signed up for texts on our opt-in form.
- Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The opt-in information is excluded from every other kind of sharing in this policy. We share it only with our text-message provider, so the messages can be delivered.
- Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
7. Who we share data with
Only service providers that help us run the service (hosting, database, text and email delivery, AI writing, payments). Each is bound to use the data only to provide its service to us. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
8. Where data is stored and how it's protected
Data is stored in the United States with our hosting and database providers. We use encrypted connections, encrypt data at rest, keep each client's data separate, limit who can log in, and store account connection tokens encrypted. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects personal information, we will notify the affected client and anyone else the law requires.
9. How long we keep it
- While the account is active.
- After cancellation, we delete the client's data within 30 days of their request and disconnect every linked account. Backups roll off within 30 days after that.
- We keep billing records as long as tax law requires.
10. Your choices
- Clients can disconnect any account at any time (in our settings or inside that software), download their data, or ask us to delete it by emailing Andrew@HalfPastSixCo.com.
- Our clients' customers should contact the business they hired. We'll help that business answer the request.
- NJ residents and others with rights under state privacy laws can email Andrew@HalfPastSixCo.com to ask to see, correct or delete their data. We'll answer within 45 days.
11. Children
The service is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and email active clients. Before we use data in a new way, we will ask for consent first.
